About
My work

"The work I produce is primarily based on my interests, memories and emotions. I have a strong interest in horror movies, paranormal events, Japanese culture, rock music and nature. Anything that catches my eye has an influence on the work I produce.
A lot of my practice explores a compulsive-obsession to create an ideal, realistic artwork with every detail being in its place. When I paint and draw, I constantly add layers to produce a three dimensional effect that initiates photo-realism. I believe my practice creates an imaginary world which becomes an escape from reality and everyday life. The viewer has an opportunity to transport to a new, often surreal place and remain there for a while. My artwork takes the spectator for a ride. It tells a story by illustrating and projecting things I have seen, places I have been, my dreams, my hopes and my fears."
